A Web of Every Color
Like everyone else in her village floating on the river, Simi is just a normal person. She spends her days tending her garden and weaving with her sister Zera. But what she really wants is to convince their irresponsible, widowed brother-in-law to marry her so she can keep an eye on his young son. What could be more reasonable?
But when Simi, Zera, and their nephew flee a fire in the night, they end up downstream--lost among the river's many branches. They approach a camp of nomads to ask for help finding home. Instead Simi encounters an old flame. Perhaps they argue a little, perhaps they break a magic vase. And perhaps the vase's maker curses them to feel each other's pain until...well, until they can figure out how to break the spell.
